As I realized, and I’m sure you know it’s not something you pick up overnight I’ve learned a fair bit of @Bladerunner7.
I wish I had of known about this years ago, but it’s never too late to learn is it?

Indeed it is not. I cringe to remember the number of years (decades) I considered it enough to rub wet Pears soap on my hide with my fingers and start shaving. That actually does work, believe it or not, but it's nowhere nearly as good as what any of us here are doing right now.

Congrats on having a wife who understands. Mine really doesn't, so it would be fruitless to explain. There's much to be said for separate bathrooms. That said, I accept her enthusiasms with equanimity as a minimum, so we are not bound in holy acrimony...
