Hi all,
I had a lovely shave this morning With a DS-Legend AC razor head On a Razorock halo TI handle.
This is the first time I’ve used a single edge AC razor. Until recently I thought an artist club razor was something for people that sit around and paint pictures not there’s anything wrong with that.
I found the shave smooth and efficient, and surprisingly mild nonetheless I really enjoyable shave.
I can see why so many wet shavers love the artist club razor.

The TRC Tabacchi was really good providing a thick lather with great protection and aftershave feel.
Finished off nicely with 4711 aftershave splash.

1 pass WTG 1 pass ATG with a few touch ups.
No nicks no worries done.

Cheers.

Pre-shave; Warm shower, face rinse with MWF bar soap.
Brush; TroyCraft, ‘’Gold n Jar’’ Jarrah hardwood and pure Gold flake resin handle, highly polished with a CA finish and a 26mm (x TF), 2 band Finest Badger knot. (Brush No 4) Grail.
Soap; Saponificio Varesino, Tundra Artica 4.3.
Razor; Alysworth, Apex SS-Pro with a + plate and electropolish finish.
Blade; Bic, Chrome Platinum. Sharpest/Smoothest I have tried to date, YMMV
Post-shave; Saponificio Varesino, Tundra Artica milk/balm.
Cologne;
Moisturiser;
Attar (Perfume Oil);
Shave;

Still shaving with the Apex + and I’m still very impressed.
The Saponificio Varesino (SV) soap/splash-balm combo is the 1st time I’ve tried SV. I only face lather and this seems to like a fairly damp brush, I’ve been doing 12 circles (9 R & 3 L) of the tin and there’s more than enough for a 3 pass shave (I only do 2 normally and touch-ups). SWMBO believes this (Tundra Artica) is the nicest aftershave I have; my sense of smell is ‘’piss’’ poor so if she says it’s the best, I’m not disputing it as I have quite a few to choose from!!
I believe it is on par with my Martin De Candre Original but exceeds it by having a matching aftershave IMHO.
