Has anyone tried the Barrel & Oak Bourbon Cedar hard puck shaving soap. During a weekend stay in Bowral, I saw some of this in a shop and decided to give it a go.

The scent is pleasant but not very strong. It seemed to lather ok off the puck after I bloomed it, however, the lather dissipated quite quickly on my face. It did have quite a bit of slickness but overall the shave was extremely disappointing. The razor was a Gold Dollar 66 which usually shaves very well.

Overall, I was extremely disappointed with this soap and basically I kissed $14.95 goodbye. The 14 bucks would have been better spent on a couple of schooners.
