How often do you shave

Chromium Oxide? I've been putting that off until I got to the point where I was happy with the results I was getting on the stones, and was thinking if I'm going to do maintenance wouldn't it better to do it more precisely on stones. I am curious though so will probably try. I'm assuming a supported strop like leather on glass would be better than free strop?
To maintain geometry without fear of uneven wear from a flexible strop surface
chrox or ferrox on balsa would be enough for touch ups and removes less steel than honing

No I haven’t but if it is 0.3microns or less it should be the same effect
I've got some of that so I'll try that first. Not sure what grade it is but I've used it a couple of times and it puts a nice polish on a bevel. I've got some more kangaroo leather coming to make up a flat strop. Will try mounting it on glass.
