How many places replate zlamak ?
How many SS have you heard dissolve in time ?
 
I had a nearly 80 year old razor replated. Now is good as new. I very much doubt my zamac razors will still be in use in 80 years.

But the replating alone cost more than my 34C, so that's something to consider...
 
Drop a SS or vintage razor and you'll most likely only scratch or dent it. Even if it's damaged, you could work to bend it back.

Drop a Zamak razor and it'll break; you can't repair it.

I like my Zamak razors and certainly serve their purpose; but they aren't heirloom razors.
