Really happy with this knot. Now with a few uses under its belt its starting to develop some lovely soft gel tips.

Scheermonnik 'Delft Wit' soap sample / Semogue Boar 620 / GEM 1912 + SS (2) / APR 'Bay City'

I received this sample from Con at TSW recently. I hadn't heard of this soap before. Made in the Netherlands, it is a soft soap with impressive lather. I always find lathering from a small sample a bit difficult, but this soap really generated a nice slick lather after a few minutes bowl lathering. The scent is a woody, sweet spice, definite vanilla to it. Would go well with Reserve Spice or Old Spice type splash.

Two passes with the GEM 1912 for SEptember and on with the Bay City splash. This scent has the freshness and fruitiness that also makes it a wonderful Spring scent, where the traditional Bay Rum is more of a cooler weather scent for me.

I cannot sing praises loudly enough for his balm's performance. The scent strength on them is maybe 5/10, and longevity is max 1-2hrs. Very thin viscosity, only need a pea size amount to do your face, absorbed fast and feel is soft to touch (not tacky or oily).

Correct :) @Tony Forsyth brush 100%. Poured the blank himself and we sourced the knot from China. One of the first he tried, and was a very dense knot with tons of backbone, scrub without scitch(bulb, 26mm plug width in a 28mm socket, set at 52mm loft). Big of a lather hog being so dense, but lathers like a champ!
