Maybe why SV put their other aftershaves in an aluminium container so you can't see the horror going on inside :LOL:

I must say the Vision is one razor I was never tempted to buy!!:ROFLMAO: How did it shave ?

Can't wait till Jan when EDT for Seville hopefully arrives at TSW. Broke the Timeless out of retirement earlier this week, and been using daily. Has had a Ladas blade in it and no nicks/weepers or irritation. Changed over to the Rapira today, noticeably smoother but one or 2 creepers (but it is ALOT later than I normally shave, bloody hot & sweaty and lather always suffers a little for that). Some time away from the Timeless, not overthinking it, and just relaxing with the shaves I'm getting totally different results than previous (which delights me to no end). In the past I've said that it's a great razor just not for me, but thankfully it looks like that's changed (hopefully for the long term).

Yeah, maybe. From what I've read this is a problem with some batches of this aftershave only - they will replace if you send it back but ...

Re lather and rinse

A BBS shave but too close with a couple of weepers. I'm amazed how much lather this little synth can hold although it may just be the SH soap has a wide window where re-lathering after each pass is easy.

I know I should just take a leaf out of the @bald as playbook and stop after an excellent single pass DFS but I just can't help myself...

Ha ha, I can quite see why the Vision may not appeal to you, it's size and 'style' make it a little preposterous. It was an impulse buy for me but part of the appeal is it's outlandish looks. The shave is surprisingly good, feels good in the hand with the size and weight feeling secure and giving good balance. There is a little adapting around the nose given the width of the head but all in all it is a great adjustable TTO. There are better and more sensible razors but there is nothing quite like it

@Sticky sometimes I just don't know how you've managed your brain to cope and to enjoy the Merkur Vision because the razor looks too bulky.

The problem is due to the composition and lack of a sufficient quantity of a nonionic surfactant - when the temperature gets too high in the environment the 'solution' separates. I have seen this issue all over FB, across forums etc, etc it's nothing new, and it isn't a really big issue as SV is not using many naturals in their fragrance composition, it's all AC's.

The quick and easy home fix to the separation (which occurs with all their products I have, including the ones in the aluminum containers) is to take the solution out of the container and emusify it using a whisk or even a fork in a clean bowl or plastic container (like making a salad dressing with oil and lemon juice, exactly the same concept in chemistry). Just make sure the bowl/container is clean and you will not have any bacterial or contamination issues.

I have added extra polysorbate-20 to my SV balms to prevent the problem (as I did with the Ogalla range which was bloody hopeless), but for those without it the emulsification method should see you ok for a year or so - just whisk and whisk the stuff up until you get a nice, even solution that is visibly consistent.

If anyone wants any polysorb-20, shoot me a PM in the new year and I will send you out 10ml or so - enough to get everything correctly in solution for the life of the product.

Yeah, unfortunately it was the principals opinion that an “ideal week” consisted of work from 8-6(or later) 7 days a week.. I explained we have different ideas on what ideal means, additionally he was extremely disrespectful of everyone’s time.
I scheduled an out of hours appointment a month ahead of time with some interstate friends/business pals and he got very annoyed that I wouldn’t cancel it on a days notice to accommodate his whims.

No doubt it can be, from what I saw it was priority issue from the management
There didn’t seem to be specific goals or targets just the mentality of “get involved with everything” and everything was treated with the same urgency which makes no sense to me.
