Well,that was an experience I shall not forget.

Not quite.Shallow nick on left cheek because came in too sharp an angle and touched with the blade.Right cheek a decent slice about 20mm long because newbie angle.
All else ok.Just very slow and a lot of figuring hand placement,did pretty good on chin and was surprised how easy the neck was.One pass only and touch up with Tech.

Alternating heavy rain and bright sunshine in Sydney this morning...

Straight Saturday shave. I really wanted a slightly runny lather for the straight shave this morning. I didn't shake the brush and added what I thought should have been WAAAAY too much water... result - a perfect, slightly runny lather. I am really loving this soap, now that I have it dialled in. Scent is sensational - will be an ideal autumn /winter fragrance. Has a great post shave feel too.

Three leisurely passes with the Platypus and on with some APR goodness. Haven't used the Bay City in a while. Fabulous.

Hands down the best shave yet with the 1912. Two sublime passes for a DFS+.
A hot night here in Perth, so a mentholated soap was called for. Stirling Lemon Chill is always a good'un. Nice cooling effect, great performance, and a scent that is a dead ringer for Butter Menthol throat lozenges, which for me is pleasant and comforting.

Derbys smooth out wildly to the point they just stop cutting big that’s like 35 shaves in... you get to do more passes this way

There we go. I wanted to continue exploration of some the new soaps but had to touch base with something more familiar before continuing. The Grapefruit gave me exactly what I was looking for :sigh of relief: . I thought I was heading toward the perfect shave so the over confidence led me to over buff above my upper lip which brought out the alum block.
Oh well, try again tomorrow.
