@Rami id be okay with a sea master... but there is an allure to a vintage date just IMHO

I sold my Pepsi gmt. It was nice, but a bit flimsier than I want. It did teach me that I am not into vintage watches. Got my money back. Which for 5 years of constant use is an excellent value proposition. Put my name up for a Batti but not holding my breath.

A couple of years after what would be my birth year (see if you can guess what that would be)

I picked up a 2001 a couple of years back (see here) as that is my son's birth year. Now if I stumbled across a vintage Omega with an 'Extract from Archives' indicating production on my birthday - I'd be onto it like a shot!

Thanks, I have seen those and the filter, unfortunately it doesn't seem to catch the Omegas where the original papers are not there but an "Extract from Archives' has been obtained from Omega indicating the date of manufacture. Some have it mentioned in the title and search-able, eg https://www.chrono24.com.au/omega/s...ial-extract-from-the-archives--id13204977.htm, other just have in the pics. I'm hoping these will be cheaper than the ones with full papers!
