Saponificio Bignoli Sandalo Indiano Aftershave

Hi @klinker I real like the Oliworks M3teorite.
I have only used it once so fare with the medium plate it worked well even on my first shave ( think i used a 7 o'clock black blade) it can only get better.
looking foreword to trying the 3 plate after a few more goes with the 2 plate.
lovely pics as always mate.;)
Cheers.

Pre-shave; Warm shower, face rinse with MWF bar soap.
Brush; TroyCraft, ‘’Gold n Jar’’ Jarrah hardwood and pure Gold flake resin handle, highly polished with a CA finish and a 26mm (x TF), 2 band Finest Badger knot. (Brush No 4) Grail.
Soap; Old Spice, soap puck 3.0oz (1976-91) in a late 04 milk-glass mug (1970-92)
Razors; Gillette, ABC 1915 triple silver plated OC razor, serial no; C583554, in VGC.
Gillette, “Old Type” 1917 OC razor, with the “Std” crack in the handle, some brassing but a nice shaver.
Gillette, 1934 silver plated 2 piece OC razor, from Set No 88.
Blade; Bic, Chrome Platinum. Sharpest/Smoothest I have tried to date, YMMV.
Post-shave; Shulton, Old Spice Original, milk-glass bottle, 6.37oz (Bottle style 1996) Gone down more than a bit after 30 days straight!! J
Cologne;
Moisturiser;
Attar (Perfume Oil);
Shave; Month of July
; Vintage Gillette rotation of the above 3 razors over 30 days using same soap, brush etc, keeping daily notes on how I found each day’s shave.
I could use any of these 3 in my daily rotation, but if I had/have to choose only 1, it would be the Gillette ABC. (YMMV). I found overall the balance of this razor while shaving was more ‘’controlled’’ (Bulbous handle vs Bulldog, mmh?) , the closeness of the shave a 2 pass BBS with the occasional small touch up if req’d, overall more pleasant grip though the ‘’slipperier handle’’ of the 3, etc. This resulted in the ABC being/feeling more enjoyable to use than the other 2, over the 10 shaves with it.
In fact, I believe that I could use this as my only DE razor!!

Now that’s a cure for RAD, if there is such a thing? :LOL: :LOL: BUT there’s not.

I’d be interested if anyone else has found the same or similar comparison with vintage Gillette’s?

Now you're tempting me to dip my toes back into DE shaving after all these years. I ❤️ the look of that ABC.

It was rather splendid.

Well I approached the Razor Guru re a razor similar to the Lambda Athena, well this certainly was not @Errol recommendation, but when I saw it, I sort of fell for it.

I like to shave daily and even though my 1st shave with it, this TiBird is really efficient, not as smooth as the Athena or my Vintage Gillette’s but so so close (2 pass BBS 1st shave), I could shave every 2nd day, but I won’t!!

Overall, I enjoyed the shave with it, I can’t help wonder what a S/S (polished) would be like in comparison to the Titanium as some ‘’drag’’ noticed, or mostlikely I'll need to get used to it, find the correct angle etc.

Oh well the elusive ''search'' continues!! :LOL: M3TiORITE in Titanium on Aug 1st, mmh
