I have just bought a proraso red shaving soap from the UK (good enough for my ugly chops)
And i paid less than most sellers in Au are selling it for, before thy put postage on it, this comes from The UK cheaper and with postage ,and just as fast from what their ebay add says
time will tell

Quite often the case with lots of products, not just shaving related gear unfortunately.
Some Australian distributors seem to have the attitude that gouging as much as they can out of a few buyers is a better idea than selling cheaper to many.
Yes, there are import duties and higher rates of pay to contend with, but that doesn't account for the often 2-3 times the costs the Australian public ends up paying for everything from electrical items to furniture and anything in between.
Luckily for the shaving gear side of things we have some good local sellers like the stray whisker who seems to realise that the way to keep customers is to offer good service at a reasonable price.
