January 2017 Acquisition Thread

My first Australian artisan soap arrived... and it's direct from the manufacturer too because I thought that would maximize their $$. Considering that I've only ever used boar, I also decided to order their $55 starter pack with the "finest" badger brush. I must comment on the groovy clear plastic packaging too. Very slick.

I'll do my shave now and let's break them in.

Awesome choice mate. Wolfpac are not getting much attention for some reason but it's truly excellent soap. And Silk Road smells fantastic.

Starting the New Year the way I intend to continue it By the way, the razor is a Kikuboshi Supreme (NOS) made by R.Saito, the master of the smiling blade. This is his "mild" profile. I've been waiting for a long time indeed to snag one of these in perfect nick and at a reasonable price. I'd all but given up when my favourite Ebay vendor gave me a heads-up on this one. Easy decision from that point on. I'm expecting stellar shaves from this beauty, even if the honing isn't the easiest around...

Yes I did. I was stoked as it is probably quite a collectable number, I would not expect number 1 to become available ever.

Thanks @todras. I knew you would like this one as well.

I should point out that as this is from older Paladin stock it has a Lee Sabini Blonde Badger knot and not a Paladin select. Sets it apart form my other Paladin.
