2025 Shaving Acquisitions Thread

Wow, the razor might be a bin job, but the blades by themselves are probably worth 10 times what you paid.
Is that right? I had no idea they were that highly priced. All I knew is there quite rare these days and quite highly praised.
As for the razor, I’ll still chuck it in my razor box as it appears to be unused.
As far as the shave goes with the super slim it is on the mild side not quite as mild as a tech
I think they’re 1970s right when Gillette was doing their best to kill off the DE razors with those multi blade cartridge things.
Little did they know that they’d come storming back.😁
Cheers.

This as my best op shop find ever.
In the local RSL op shop
NOS Gillette super slim twist.
24 packs of Gillette Aussie spoilers 120 blades.
All for $33, I offered them more but they wouldn’t take it.
Cheers.
Awesome Find @Vittoria . Enjoy the shaves mate.

I might have been exaggerating a little (but not by much) but they are certainly sought after. I think Rapira made a carbon copy of that razor that was available at supermarkets well into the noughties. I remember picking one up when travelling interstate, having forgotten my razor. IIRC, it worked OK when treated with respect.

When in the USA, and you have to go into Walgreens for something anyway. you might as well come away with one of these -

Cheap and cheerful :)
