Best of 2017

I must have a dud :(
Obviously you require at least half a dozen of them for this to work, so perhaps that's your problem?

I have more than a dozen brushes though. Do they all have to be Declaration brushes in order to have a friendly match?

Wouldn't be a team if they're of different makers, so a requisite of 6 of the same for each side.
Mate, you've been well enabled now :)

Haven’t you ever heard of the Barbarians?

After a year of wet shaving I've learnt a lot and still feel very new to it all.
So counting my inexperience I would add my favourites for 2017 as;
  • Process: Learning how to prep before a shave by softening/conditioning the skin and hair.
  • Soap: Barrister & Mann Reserve series. Great all round product and very economical as less is best with this soap.
  • Brush: Yaqi Synthetic brushes, best price point and lovely synthetic fibres with lots of options for most shavers who are experienced or not.
  • Razor: Guerilla Razor. Absolute gem and use both the bar (daily) and open comb (breaded/growth) as I find they have differing levels of aggressiveness.
  • Blade: Gillette Nacet blades, very economical (16c), sharp & smooth and best for the price point.
  • Post: Australian Private Reserve splashes, only really discovered the benefits of these splashes late but wish I found and used them earlier.
There you have it, your mileage may very, all the best for 2018 :)
