I should visit more often I could have had another green banner. But if I was here more often I probably wouldn't have any green banners.

If you're in need of green banners, @Monsta_AU gave up on them a few years ago (2018?), so those of us who have survived or failed in such endeavours since (I've done both) have an uncluttered profile. The Monsta made an exception in my case with a pre-emptive "fail" banner at the start of the year, and he's been on a roll since.
...And so, here we are. First day of January 2026, and I still feel no immediate urge to go shopping. I'm expecting a bit of money to come through on a couple of weeks, though, so the brakes might come off then. A big shout out to those fellow members who have been so kind in sending me samples to relieve the quotidian ennui. I shall follow up on that with at least an order for some Extro Bergamotto di Calabria and some Bignoli Lavanda Balsamica. Also, I very much need some more Castle Forbes Lavender and Mystic Water...

Not sure about being the "only other survivor" but yes I went through the whole of 2025 without spending a single cent on anything shaving. To avoid temptation I committed to a strategy based upon abstinence, I simply stopped shaving and for the first time ever I grew out a full and flowing beard (another rabbit hole). I have entrusted my barber of many years with line ups and trims and I have not put a blade to my face in twelve whole months and I do not intend to in the near future.
Does this mean my sabbatical continues into 2026? Technically probably not, as by definition a sabbatical tends to be one taking a break from something that one intends to return to at some stage, I have no immediate plans to do so. It remains pleasing to pop by the P&C Forum from time to time to see what all the fine gentlemen who contribute are up to and seeing the latest and greatest on offer.
2025 for me was a year of downsizing, de-cluttering, moving and settling into semi-retirement which on the whole has been most rewarding. As for my collection of all things shaving, it remains with me ........................ for now.

I hadn't realised you were cheating
I sported a big beard for a while in the late '70s, until I realised the error of my ways. Fortunately, nobody had phones in their pockets in those days, so as far as I know, there is no photographic evidence of this. And no antisocial media back then, which is even better.
