Me too, a self imposed alcahol sabatical coming up to a year soon. Lost over 20kg since I stopped drinking, so motivation isn't lacking, that's for sure.Apologies I'm off the booze.

I've heard and read good reviews about Japanese whiskies, but, some Japanese whiskies are pricey.
I'm a total newbie to Japanese whiskies, but I have read enough to know they are well regarded internationally. When this peated model came up, it was definitely time to take the plunge. This stuff is just superb, I'm going to have to exercise restraint to make this one last.
It's not peated anywhere near the level of Octomore or Supernova, but it's a lovely balance with the complex and rich malt.
Yep, this one was. $240 from the Whisky Club. Way beyond my normal zone, but I was curious. I don't know if I'll race to buy another bottle, but I'm happy to see what all the fuss is about.
Never heard of this bottleOn a Teeling kick at the moment. This is slightly drier than the Pot Still, which I enjoyed; but I think this is my preferred to date. Lovely drop on a cold winter night in front of a blazing fire! Sláinte.
