Dovo XL cream/black strop

Hi, I've just got a 2nd hand (like new) Dovo XL strop, I have been using a Titan (2nd one) leather/denim strop with Titan red paste on the denim, I would like to know is it "possible" to use paste on the black/back side of this "single" sided strop?

It is possible but I wouldn't do it. Due to the possibility of contamination, I like to keep clean leather strops well away from stropping paste. I suggest that you get or make another cloth strop to use with your new paste.

Being an extra-wide strop, the Dovo XL tends to be more prone to cupping during use. Just be aware of that.
