I'm thinking of creating a little club here where people not tempted in to purchasing enough different soaps, blades, brushes to last them two lifetimes, can hang out and discuss things in comfort without the brawling "look at what I've got now" playground antics that smother every other thread here. I'm thinking of calling it SLAP (Shave Like Amish People). Any other suggestions?

Appropriate, as it is a slap in the face or rational realism.

Happy to be listed with the esteemed ... one blade, one soap (once I settle on a favourite).

Exactly, don't be afraid to experiment and aim for half a dozen favourites.
Variety is the spice of life after all.

Yeah I suppose it sounds the right thing to say as the new guy but then again you don't know them yet. But you'll learn the likes of @Drubbing, @Pjotr and the other angry loners (note where they're all from) then you'll join the real flock ...not the flotsam, jetsam and backwash that live at the low tide mark of this place.

I'm having trouble deciding if I'm an angry loner (being remote from the majority) or I'm flotsam, jetsam and backwash that live at the low tide mark of this place. Either way I've got a title.
