Hi Everyone.
Been lurking for a little while now, and thanks for the info I gained from sponging off others posts. Only pulled the trigger on an application today and look forward to the info and tips. Bank balance may not though.
Made the change to DE shaving only a couple of weeks ago. Got very tired of the cartridge and disposable razors not lasting and giving an average shave.
I kicked off with a Parker 98R and a sample of blades including Derby, Gillette Blacks, Rapira, Shark, Lord and Voskhod. Oh... have some Feathers as well but visions of arterial spray around the Bathroom have kept them unopened.
Soaps so far include a couple of Proraso, White, Green and Mondial Sandalwood. Have a PAA Gumsmoke on order.
Brushes well.... lets not talk about that just yet.

I agree with @lerenau on the Feathers, they're great and nothing to be afraid of. If your technique is mostly right, you might get a few weepers/nicks, but nothing that some alum won't fix. It will force you to improve technique too.
