I'm a bit keen to give a Kamisori a try. It looks like a fun bit of kit to shave with. Should I decide to buy one what should I be looking for? I don't want to spend a bunch of cash, but don't want anything too crappy either ;-) any advice would be awesome.
 
Go a western symmetrical grind for ease, but if going for a traditional Japanese Asymetrical grind make sure you get a left or right handed to suit you, most are right handed, and look for minimal & even hone wear
Same deal around a 5-6/8” is a good size to start with
Also strop it on a flat strop ( your handing strop flat on the bench works good )
