Hey guys! After trawling through B and B I've stumbled upon a forum much closer to home it seems! Sort of getting tired of plastic disposables rusting too soon, so was exploring my options!

Seems to be a great pool of knowledge in here so I'm sure you will get lots of help/advice.

You've come to the right place and as far as a vintage DE you cannot go past the one the only one a Gillette Fat Boy of which I am very familiar with

Hi @babybadger, if you want a razor with a great handle and infinite aggression try a straight I have a multitude of colours but red is a colour I try to avoid.

On a slightly more serious note a Schick SE injector is a great intro as head angle is a no brainer and not too expensive.

Soaps? Brushes?

Welcome @babybadger - I would advise you start off mild vintage e.g. a Gillette Tech - these are readily available and good to start on. You will soon ramp up to more "aggressive" razors. Plenty of great artisan producers here... Australian Private Reserve, Shaver Heaven, Tony Forsyth Brushes, Squadron Soaps etc.
