Hello Aaron and Welcome to Paste & Cut. Proraso Green is a very good shaving cream. I assume that you are using it from a tube or bowl with a shaving brush? I have zero experience with straight razors but I'd expect slickness to be the priority for straight shavers. Our resident Melbourne straight/kamisori expert, @Draco Noir might be able to lend his experience of better soap options.
