After the successful repair to the parlour guitar I started a new project stratocaster, it started life in the typical sunburst colour which I just hate, pics to come :)

Sooo blue :)

Yesterday arvo I had a rummage through the shed and found some clear acrylic and thinners so I cleaned out the HVLP gun and gave it a few coats, this morning I've given it a good buff and although the body dosnt lend itself to looking like New due to dents, scratches and a few other imperfections I'm not going to go the whole relic rout and burning through the paint as some do to give it that worn look that the strats rock so well.

Buffed and washed

After painting I was thinking the blue looked too light but get it inside with the neck and bridge back on it that looks nice!
I was thinking the same, a maple board would suit it more probably but add the light mint green puckguard it should be bitchin' plus neck is awesome but I have no idea where it came from
