Brotherhood of Fanbois
Hear ye, hear ye!
I feel compelled to post in light of the growing spread of vile and baseless brushism that is taking over the boards. A somewhat puritanical streak has emerged where the terms floppy, soft and the like are used as epithets rather than descriptors of a brushes character or performance.
I fear there are members hiding in the shadows to scared to post in the SoTD etc for fear of reprisal and mockery. I ask all members to keep in mind that this seemingly abiding requirement for "backbone" (clearly the choice of those with stiff upper lips - DYB, DYB, DOB, DOB I say old chaps) is merely a preference of some board users. Thick skinned fellows, such as myself, enjoy the banter but perhaps there are some who might think it is serious?
Those who enjoy their Semogues, their Kents, their Edwin Jaggers in silvertip - fear not the slings and barbs of our more 'rugged' members who demand some sort of fibre driven assault on their cheeks to enjoy their shave. It is but a preference. Those of us, confident in our masculinity, can enjoy the caress of our cloudlike tools that effortlessly generate and release gobs of lather.
I can only hope that the recent positive talk surrounding synthetics can help bridge the divide between the stiffs and the floppies of this world.
As for myself...I will start to dream of that Kent BK12 King of the Clouds!
