Thanks blokes. Just to round out the thread, I ended up ordering a Rockwell 6S, for the following reasons:
- Stainless (it will sit in the shower... and I just don't like zamac / brassing) - it can be a genuine "lifetime" razor without degradation in this application.
- Decent length handle / grip / heft.
- Different plates, so if it doesn't work the first time I have a reason to suggest trying a different plate, rather than just giving up on the idea straightaway. No benefit to continuous adjustability in this application though.
- Reviews are all awesome - I don't want to leave anything on the table in helping her make the switch
- If she still doesn't like it, I may be able to use it or at least it should have reasonable resale value if it came to that, being stainless etc...
