hehehe glad you enjoyed it lads.

Shame I have to slag off YKW to generate some posts on the board. Still the mind boggles!

You all realise that brushburn is actually directly correlated to how nice the handle of the brush is right? Can't get brushburn from a Semogue!

...That's also why Mark has been on a vintage butterscotch bender. He just kept this chestnut under wraps so as not to drive the market into a frenzy! :P

AHHHHH!

That is an incredible insight Master Glen.

Is a specific brush and water pH part of the expanded Thomas Method 'system' now?

You are clearly onto something...

Only if you are a Retarded Twat with an IQ that matches the number of blades in a pack :)

What?

Response to the question if this was part of an expanded TM shaving system. Most packs have 5 blades so I suspect that that could well be the average IQ over at the other place (except of course when one of this group is visiting:))

If I had made this reply, you would all have presumed I meant "Yes".

Nice Glen  I really don't think that came across as intended Mark!

PS Mark...received some quality spam mail from American Express today. Many Thanks! :)

Yes, it was meant to be ironic which clearly didn't convey well and it was taken literally!

I'm glad you enjoyed your quality spam mail. It was sooooooo nice I couldn't let it go to waste :cheesy:

You are, of course, sir the sort of gentleman that regularly receives such offers so I thought that it would blend right in.

Yes...I am a genteel fellow

Trying to interest me in a quadruple gold plated, double swipe credit card of all things!

None taken good sir :)

You are indeed a gentleman and a squalor -- bloody keyboard should have raed squatter nope - whats the word I am looking for SCHOLAR yay got it.

You are indeed a squalor and a scholar - ah to hell with it you get the general idea :)

Careful with that fake gentlemanly banter, it can get you in trouble.

I've couldnt bring myself to click any links, but anyone suggesting certain brands or brushes can irritate are clearly insane. Any brush will annoy you if you're an obsessive geek who hangs out on sites that hype shit up, and talk shit in general, and practice lathering with every one of your brushes to 'break them in' because you have no fkin life.

I think that sums it up nicely. It would be good if any of those who are members on the idiots board did a quick cut and paste of the noble Drubbings views.

Could it be an allergic reaction of some kind? I really can't be bothered to wade through all the crap to find out but just trying to put a logical explanation forward.

I think you may be right PJ - that lot are allergic to logic or any form of commonsense.

Round two with the Bic the little Gillette and the very nice cream boogeyman Pif'ed me.
The razor is good my best description is a baby Slim without any adjustment ability. It has some heft, the handle is a little short for my great fat mitts but still a pleasant razor to use. After shave 2 it is sadly time to flic the Bic. Either the tungsten whiskers are too much for it or it loses sharpness rather quickly. Still it finished the job but it is time to delve into the treasure chest and see what lies within.

As I am sure you are all fascinated I will report back next time.

Tough whiskers Glen?

I think they must be fairy floss if you made it through 2 shaves with a Bic!

Maybe SYD but I have had a shipping company offer to buy them for inclusion in anchor chains for oil tankers. :)

Also I dont get brush burn as the whiskers simply shear the hair off the brushes I have.

AS I said SYD the second left a bit to be desired and I will save the balance to PIF to a nice newbie :)
I have yet to try a blade that didn't give one shave at least - however I have a few to try. Next might be a genuine Gillette Blue Blade.

Finally got around to trying a Derby that I pilfered out of the traveling box some weeks ago. Maybe I was asking a bit much of it to follow a Schick but even so, I didn't think much of it. Not particularly smooth or sharp.. Well at least I got it at the right price :cheesy:
