Yamamasa kamisori right-handed asymmetrical grind with rattan wrapped raga. The edge is finished and maintained on diamond pasted balsa.

Why the Kai Stainless feels heap better than the Feather Hi Stainless, both blades are made from Japan.

Why the Kai Stainless feels heap better than the Feather Hi Stainless, both blades are made from Japan.

So are a Lexus and a Corolla... The Kai is a bigger and thicker blade. I can easily get 5+ shaves from a Kai, whereas a Feather is a one shave blade for me.

No-brand Solingen probably from the late 1940s to early 1950s and dressed in golden wattle timber scales. Edge is finished and maintained on diamond pasted balsa. Soap is RazoRock green label.

25 November - SR shave No. 1803
Gold Dollar W594 half-hollow ⅞ Spanish point with sharp and pointy toe dressed in black wood timber scales. Edge is finished and maintained on vintage coticule. Soap is RazoRock Gold.

A lovely old-world setup there. Definitely one for bachelors; most of the unfair sex would resent that exclusive dedication to self-care in their partners. Needless to say, it does not work the other way. I am blessed with a wife who does not wear makeup, but who nevertheless manages to crowd every surface in "her" bathroom (which I shall soon have to share again when guests arrive for a protracted stay) with nostrums (OK, nostra) of all sorts, and finding space to embrace the moment is hard.
