My wife's soap

• Prep: Hot Shower
• Razor: Yaqi - Stamford
• Blade: Derby Usta
• Brush: Yaqi - Lucky Dice
• Lather: Wife's Homemade Soap - Sweet Cakes Bay Rum
• Post-shave: Proraso - Alum Block

I've struggled to be in the mood for a shave this last week. Was finally in the mood this evening and took the time to get a much needed head shave in. I desperately needed this head shave. While it is only a week's worth of growth, it certainly makes the shave far less efficient even with the most aggressive razor I use up on the dome.

So my wife tried her hand at a quick hot process soap this weekend using some of the scents that she recently purchased. Used her soap, and it builds quite a good lather. Definitely one to continue trying, although we might need to up the scent volume in the soap next time. I do like Bay Rum, another scent I will purchase in my next round of purchases.

You need to get some Cella aftershave into your den, because, both goes together and you smell very nice.

Surprisingly good bowl lather using this Turkish bowl my daughter bought.
The hand painted design is all raised which makes an excellent lather bowl

SoCal Hipster has a lovely scent off the puck - A tropical fruit salad bowl
Notes: Pink peppercorn, pineapple, banana, passion fruit, mango, cade, oakmoss, sandalwood, cedarwood and musk.

Another lovely smooth Tabac inspired shave, the zenith is breaking in well but still has a slight boar scent.. funny how some brushes had no smell, some only a little and this little bugger is persisting with its funkiness

Cella red rate very similar to the Tabac tallow quality lather, but, Cella isn’t a hard soap like a triple mill. The lather quality and slickness is excellent when you dial in correctly.

Hi @StratMan, I will have to make you a personalised soap based on lard. And then super fat it with bacon grease to maintain the nuances of the brush

A really comfortable and efficient shave with minimal touchups. The leather scent is masculine and pairs well with the sweetness from the solid cologne. The brush is hands down my favourite synthetic as the fit and finish is top quality and tuxedo knot is great for whipping up some quick lather...
