So I'm a newbie also but there are 2 videos on you tube that helped me. One is how to apply soap and how to shave with the straight . What to think about before shaving. It's by Lynn Abrams.

The second was by geofatguy about Proraso soaps and how to lather. I'll see if I can post here.
