looking at buying a synthetic shaving brush , i see that Body shop have one $14,and also omega are being sold on Ebay $20, any one used any one of them,

@David7307 if you want a very good synthetic shaving brush I would strongly get RazoRock Plissoft Disruptor or a RazoRock Plissoft Monster, because I've own a RazoRock Plissoft and it's a fantastic brush to have unfortunately both brushes the RazoRock Plissoft and RazoRock Barber Handle are both sold out. You only have the RazoRock Plissoft Disruptor or a RazoRock Plissoft Monster available at the moment.

@David7307 I've also heard the Maggard Razors Synthetic Shaving Brush are also very good see link

And also the Fine Accoutrements Synthetic Shaving Brush are also pretty good too not 100% sure see link unless anybody own these brushes what are your review.

@David7307 their the cheapest brush you can buy and the postage won't hurt you too much once is converted to AUD, all I'm saying is IF you want a very good synthetic shaving brush get the RazoRock before both brushes get sold out soon it worth the money for a very very good brush.

And none of these brushes above aren't available in Australia sorry
 
They're all about $30 AUD delivered, and well worth the extra few bucks vs body shop or omega imho

Exactly. I know it pains to spend more on postage than on the product, but for A$30 they are exceptional value for money.
Italian Barber do free shipping within US for orders over $60. You could order a few more products (all excellent) and then use a freight forwarding company like Shipito. I've done this many times and it works out well.
 
Around here, the only synthetics that seem to get used are Muhle STF2 (i think EJ uses the same knots), plisson knots and an Omega Hi-Brush. The cheapest of these three begin with the ItalianBarber plissofts so you're going to be dishing out at least $35 for a brush we can personally recommend. Other forums give much praise to other synthetic knots too, but they're not all too available around Australia anyway.
Maybe you could get someone on this forum to sell you theirs at a good price...

A pretty nifty deal if you ask me, you could pick up his tub of latha while you're at it. Just keep in mind that if you do go for muhle's STF offerings, their naming convention is a little confusing. Filobiblic's 31K brush has a 21mm knot so keep that in mind if you have an agenda against small brushes.
 
I came across this the other day for the Omega brushes.

The images are a crappy synth (Sintex .. think paint brushes), but with the S-Brushes apparently you can do the same.

So its a really nifty solution as a travel brush, for short trips, where you don't have to take a separate soap.
 
Well the brush arrived the other day , and it is really nice to use, but i would say just a little bit to soft,but it lather very well with the Proraso red ,
just one question how hot is to hot,water wise to use with the brush seeing its synthetic,

Good work!
If I'm using hot water, it's generally only what I can stand with my hand. So shouldn't be hotter than warm tap water. (But the nylon hairs shouldn't melt until past boiling point.)
 
Just used warm water with you're new brush, I used both warm and cold doesn't matter.
