This is something I'm unsure about. My Envy White is scrubby, but very soft. I wouldn't want it with less backbone. I may stick with another Envy White, in 24mm set at 48 for some real backbone. Although those Elite Razors brushes look excellent value for money. The wooden handled ones in particular look great.with the Elite trading some backbone for tip softness

I have a bulb in 26mm with a 54mm loft.
It has very soft tips, with a good level of scrub. The Shavemac 2 band (and Paladin) get their backbone from a very strong hair I think. They have a very clean fan shape that hasn't bloomed much. The Envy White has backbone from density, the individual hairs aren't so strong. Much has been written about how much backbone this knot has, but I think it has just the right amount, certainly not over the top backbone. It certainly has no scritch. It feels very different to the Shavemac 2 Band and Paladin, and I'm pleased with that. How does it compare with the shavemac or paladin?
