Shave of the day 2013

I'll admit that when I was on leave recently I didn't shave for over two weeks. Turns out I can grow quite a good full beard! Too scratchy for me though.

Enter my Gillette NEW. Nothing like an open comb to make short work of my two weeks of laziness.

It's getting so cold here....Had my thermostat turned down as low as it would go! The furnace just turned on!! It's winter!! Didn't want to turn on the Heat until at least the 15th!! But we've had snow for the last couple of days and its about -3C outside right now!
Thinking about not shaving until this afternoon! Then the Gold Dollar that I've been working on.

That just doesn't sound right. Full on summer already here in WA. Even had a day or two of horrible easterlys. Stinking hot winds, dragging flies from the the cow paddocks over east in to every orrifice for hours. That's the bad. The good is that I know what to dress in (other than for work requirements) for the next four months; shorts, t-shirt and sandals.

Anyhow back on topic

Coupla shaves with the Wee Scot, La Toja and yee old bakeite jobbie with a Spoiler. Can't beat it.

We've had rain, and a lot of it for this time of the year. It makes Darwin almost pleasant for 5 minutes, until it starts to evaporate.

Oh and that is my work attire for the whole year.

In one of the professions are you Egg?

We've had 30°C and snow in the past fortnight, with 30mm of rain in the mix.

I an barely work out what to wear for the next 30 minutes the weather changes that often.

I am in the same profession as Pjotr, although we tackle different aspects of it.

Environmental. I do contamination assessments and Eggy does more flora and fauna based surveys. Although by the sounds of it he wanders around in shorts and tank top with a carton of Fosters tucked under his arm.

And I work in an analytical chem lab focussed mainly on environmental monitoring work.

We are also part of the EPA division of the Sate govt, but do mostly commercial work.

This is uniform for Darwin.

Drinking Fosters, along with XXXX Gold is a sackable offence in our office.

Sadly PPE is starting to take over, and we are starting to have to be dayglo drones like everyone else out at the mines.

I manage one of the inorganic chem groups, I have nutrients, CN, solids (TSS/TDS), alkalinity, acidity, pH, EC, Cr(VI), pretty much all inorganic chem which isn't metals, Hg or anions. We also have a organic chem and algal identification sections.

I used to also run the sample reception group and have done 12 months as the lab manager (I prefer my job too much govt crap the next level up). Plus I'm a NATA technical assessor, although I don't do too many audits. I am still trying to get a lab to sort thier shit out from an audit in Sept 2012. I don't expect perfecton, but just fukin' wrong is not acceptable.

May I politely suggest you guys merge with the Microserver thread and you can then exchange incomprehensible gobbledygook to your hearts content :)

Lets get back to talking about the TM or other sensible stuff

Typical , finally getting an interesting, scientific thread going and up pops the incomprehensible TM. That method ain't NATA certified!

He's right though. If you start a new thread you can science each other up as much as you like.

  • GEM Damaskeene w/ PTFE SS blade
  • Duke 2
  • Tabac
  • Body Shop Maca Root A/S

Still positively dull with my choice of shaving apparatus. The Damaskeene continues to give me superb shaves rivalled only by my favourite combination of iKon SB/Super Iridium. I'm going to take it with me when I jet off to Italy in a week.

Great that the Damaskeene has hit fertile ground instead of languishing in a drawer. Have you tried the Bullet Tip yet?

Late shave today. Still into the Gold Dollar 66. Find the shave so nice I've gone and ordered a new GD 208! 19$ US. Can't wait to see if its 3x better than the 66?
