Shave of the day 2013

Great that the Damaskeene has hit fertile ground instead of languishing in a drawer. Have you tried the Bullet Tip yet?

The second one you sent me was a Clog Pruf actually, and it is pretty good. It feels noticeably less dangerous than the MMOC and shaves fairly similarly, but my angle needs a little refinement because I got a little irritation when I had a go. I think it's the semi-open comb on the Damaskeene that works for me and my horizontal neck beard, but I like the blade exposure on the Clog Pruf a lot. Plenty of potential for a good shave there.

I'll give the Clog Pruf another go tomorrow and see if I can get it as good as the Dama.

Todays shave a DE shave
Frank shaving pure badger
Astra blade
Merkur futur razor

And something new, aqua de colonia concentrada barberia, alvares gomez madrid :)

Its a little like a softer version of cella but with the citrus sent

Shave was nice

O. M. G.

I had a function tonight so cleaned up the Chubby and had a cold water shave with Prorarso Menthol/Eucalyptus

I'd forgotten how good the Chubby was - it is amazing

EVERYBODY MUST try a Chubby at least once ...

I came home from the pub tonight having been described as "that scruffy looking fella with the long hair", so I had a shave despite the hour. I am not Han Solo, and scruffy looking I will not be.

I gave the Clog Pruf a run, and it's a nice razor. Despite it's name, the small 'comb' in the safety bar seems to partially clog quite a bit. I don't know if this impacts upon the shave, but the blade exposure is not quite as aggressive as I previously thought. This makes it safe and comfortable to use, but I didn't get as close a shave as I've become accustomed to with the Damaskeene.

I also made a happy return to boar brushes. My Omega #45 has split it's tips nicely, and retained enough backbone to be pleasantly soft and scrubby. I'm hoping to come across some more Omega brushes in Italy, preferably of a smaller size and greater (relative) density.

P.160 duro
Semogue 830 (83 times moar than the Simmo! )
Slim (6,6,4)
PSS (NFI)
Proraso Splash

Nice shave with that great proraso finish. Still not feeling a lot of love for the P.160 products atm.

Had a shave or two since last update with the usual suspects. Got my MWF bowl cleaned up and the Arlington installed. Looking forward to giving that a bash next time out.

I don't think they make such a thing, and I've looked. I've had about 8 Omegas and the density seems pretty constant, regardless of knot width. About all that changes is the quality of the handles, and whether they're dyed or not.

Well, I'm still shaving. Are y'all growing beards? Movember?

Wee Scot
Tabac or Irisch Moos
FeatherweightSE or Bakelite jobbie
Just tried a Gillette black Plat I got from Nick the Knife.
Very impressed with the first shave. If it holds for a few more I'd have to call it as good as a Spoiler.

Washed face with loccitane cleanser
Whirled up some foam with Cade and FS brush
Nice shave by merkur futur feather combo
No need for alum today :D

Cella
30C / Gillette SS
PSS
Speick
Sandalwood skin food

Thought I'd give the PSS a run in a Superspeed. Nah, crap. Wouldn't even get through the chin. Swapped out for the Merkur.

i have said many times PSS is no good in too mild a razor. SS krona etc it sucks

It's not the PSS - it's the SS. Everything I put in it is crap. Razor glides over the toughest shave spots no matter what blade.

My 30C is milder (or should I say, less aggressive) than the 34, but works better.

Dragged out the tub ofTabac last night - pretty dehydrated it was but still managed to work up a useable lather.

Put a new Indian Wilkinson in the Slim and began the process of removing several days of excess hair.

All in all not bad - the Tabac will need a bit of work to get back to standard, but the whiskers came off - no blood came out - a win win all around.
