From a Gent of impeccable taste and not given to hyperbole, such praise has very much piqued my interest.
Thank you. It's gratifying to see "piqued" spelt correctly for once.

Yeah, the first time I saw the Vestige, I was slightly put off by the spine of the blade sticking out of the back of the head, but I came around when I realised how much weight that would save. IMO, that makes it hands down the most original design I've seen, and I now like this quirky feature.

AD has a reputation for making mild razors, so the ++ (Supérieur) plate turned out to be just right for me. A long story led to me ending up with two +++ plates as well, but I found the efficiency of this wasn't a huge improvement, and it was less comfortable in use. I have now given both of them away.

I’d run into a burning building for your WR4 😂😂 was very interested in the Vestige but SWMBO‘d very vocal take on that spine, well I’ll take my RAD elsewhere!

Pre-shave: Hot flannel, Pears soap
Brush: TroyCraft "Nebulish" 30mm Shedding Dog silvertip
Soap: Martin de Candre Rose
Razor: Wolfman WR4
Blade: Kai Captain Titan Mild (PINK)
Post-shave: TND witch hazel, homebrew moisturiser, Oxford & Cambridge cologne

Several years ago, while I was operating with the Vector as my sole razor, I spent months evaluating the various blade offerings while deciding what to commit to buying in bulk. It came down to a long duel between the Schick Proline and the Kai PINK. The Proline effectually won by a small margin, so I bought up 600 of them straight from Japan, and I should be good for many years.

It's a measure of my laziness that once I've made a decision like that, I don't bother thinking about it again. Today, I remembered that leaves me with quite a few other blades just lying around unused, and I never got around to trying them with the WR4. So here we are.

The verdict? Bloody awful. I've used these blades with the Vector, Hawk V3 and the Claymore Evolution, and I just don't remember them being this bad. I'm pretty sure it's sharper than the Proline, but nowhere near as refined.
