First shave today with the Hawk and the OC plate, with a Kai Pink blade.
Used the Aermeda soap (as I've biffed the Cella), and it was a lovely lather sitting on the AP Shave Co 30mm fan brush.
Did my usual 2 passes...Oh, very nice! That's the closest shave since having the Timeless .95 OC, or the Blackbird.
New blade was a tad scritchy for a few passes, but smoothed out quickly.
I'm quite liking this new SE shaving style. The Hawk looks good, and delivers a great shave.
The Aermeda soap performed well, and I didn't chop off any bits of my face...so it was a win-win for the day.
Once I've had a good lash at the Hawk I'll go back to a rotation with the Lupo as that's a nice shaver too.
All up I'm a happy camper.

A truly buttery shave once I switched over to the Wilkinson Sword blade. The Treet Carbon Steel just didn’t cut the mustard — literally.
Day 1 felt like there was some kind of protective coating still on the edge; Day 2 showed signs of improvement, but by Day 3 it was all dullness and chatter. The moment I loaded the Wilkie, though, everything changed — smooth as butter, or like a hot knife gliding straight through it.

OK...please be gentle...it's my first effort at this.
Used the Hawk with 'A' plate this morning, and bunged in the Kai Pink that was used for the last 3 shaves with the OC plate.
After the shave I managed to whip up some more lather from the remnants of the Aermeda soap. I reckon that lather looks OK (doesn't it?).
It's wrapped around my AP Shave Co 30mm fan brush.
I usually face lather, but for last couple of days I thought I'd try the lather bowl again.
Anyway...it certainly was a nice smooth shave.
